The UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation - Female Filmmakers Support Programme (FFSP) is designed to support and promote female filmmakers in Southeast Europe by providing financial assistance for the production of their film projects and career development support through CineLink Industry Training and Skills Programme.

Eligibility

Applicant Criteria:

  • Applicant (Production Company) registered in Southeast European countries Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Romania or Bulgaria. *

  • The director or co-director must identify as a woman.

  • The project must have at least one more key artistic contributor (scriptwriter, director of photography, editor) who also identifies as a woman

  • The project budget must be realistic and at least EUR 100,000 in total

* This requirement does not extend to the nationality or residency of the film’s director.

Project Criteria:

The project must be a feature-length (narrative, documentary or essay) in the production or postproduction stage.

Application Process

Submission Deadline:

Applications must be submitted by the 19th of February. Late applications will not be considered.

Selection Criteria

Artistic Quality:

  • The originality and artistic merit of the project.

  • The potential impact and relevance of the project in the context of Southeast European cinema.

Project Viability: 

  • The feasibility of the production plan including budget and timeline. 

  • The applicant’s track record and ability to complete the project. 

Social Impact:

The potential of the project to address social issues or contribute to cultural dialogue.

Career Development:

The programme will provide career development support through the CineLink Industry Training and Skills Programme for selected participants from UNIQA SEE countries.

General Conditions

Compliance: 

  • The project must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. 

  • Any changes to the project scope must be approved by the Uniqa Foundation. 

 

Disqualification: 

Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria or fail to provide required materials will be disqualified. 

 

Decision: 

The decision of the selection committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
